So, you're shopping for a new car, right? And you're looking for something that's stylish, fun-to-drive, safe, reliable, stylish, and above all else, won't break your budget. If you've been shopping for a while, you're probably feeling a bit frustrated. Let's face it: while the market is full of reliable, affordable cars, there just aren't many attention grabbers. Unless of course you want to pay a whole lot.
Good news, driver: you've come to the right place.
Meet the 2012 Hyundai Veloster, a boldy-designed three-door hatchback that starts at just $17,300. It's brand new to the Hyundai family, yes, but it's already won quite a few awards and accolades. First up, it was named Autobytel's "2012 Car of the Year." Then, the Chicago Athenaeum gave it one of their Good Design Awards. About.com called it One of the Best New Cars of 2012, and Ward's AutoWorld put the 1.6-liter GDI engine on their "10 Best Engines" list.
Sounds pretty good so far, doesn't it? Well, we're not quite done yet.
The base model Veloster comes with one coupe-length driver's side door and two sedan-length passenger side doors, the second of which is hidden, giving rear seat passengers easy access to the back seat without compromising the sporty styling of the car. It also comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels; Bluetooth, USB and iPod connectivity; a rear spoiler; cruise control; heated exterior mirrors; split-folding rear seats for flexibility; and Hyundai's BlueLink Telematics, just to name a few things.
Upgrade with the Style package for $2,000 and enjoy 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, chrome grille, panoramic sunroof, Piano Black interior accents, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, alloy pedals, and leatherette bolster seats. The Tech package, another $2,000, upgrades the Style trim level with painted inserts for the wheels, backup warning sensors, navigation system with rearview camera, auto headlights, push button start and a 115V outlet.
Yes, it's fun to drive, too. Like we said, the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine was already honored by Ward's. It pumps out 138 ponies of power, and drivers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission. MPGs? 29 miles to the gallon in the city, 40 on the highway. And next year, a Turbocharged Veloster will find its way into the Future Hyundai of Concord showroom.
Well, we could go on and on. But don't you think it'd be more fun to see it for yourself? Contact us via our website to arrange a test drive and then come see us at 1051 Burnett Ave Concord, CA 94520.
