Here in the States, the reliable Hyundai Elantra is known for its aerodynamic exterior, smooth drive, and extensive list of features. Even more than that, drivers love it's starting MSRP of $16,695 and comfortable interior. American drivers aren't the only people who love it, either - it's grown to be very popular in China, where Hyundai is the country's fourth best-selling automotive brand.
In an effort to slide up that list even more, Hyundai has announced plans to stretch the wheelbase of the Elantra sedan. A bit taller than its original 56.5 inches, and a bit longer than the current model's 106.3 inch wheelbase, it will offer the passenger room Chinese shoppers are looking for with all of the premium accessories one would expect from Hyundai.
We don't expect these changes to arrive here in the States, as American drivers are plenty pleased with the 95.6 cubic feet of passenger room and 14.8 cubic feet of cargo space. What else do people love about the Elantra?
