Hyundai is headed to the Paris Motor Show the first couple weeks of October, and they've got a sporty new hatchback to show off - the all-new Hyundai i30, a European relative of the Hyundai Elantra GT. Yes, the i30 has been available in Europe for some time now, but it's the third member of the i30 lineup - in addition to a five-door hatchback and a wagon.

Before the show, as many automakers do, Hyundai offered a sneak-peek of the new three-door i30, a car they say has been specifically designed for European drivers. That means: no three-door Elantra hatch here in Concord - sorry, folks.

But that doesn't mean that the distinctive styling language or super-efficient engine options won't ever be available in Elantra form here in the States. Okay, so we're stretching it a bit - but a dealer can dream, right?

Regardless, there's incredible value in releasing a sporty three-door hatch in Europe. According to Allan Rushforth Senior VP and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor Europe, "The New Generation i30 three-door has been conceived solely for Europe, and will strength Hyundai's presence further in the segment...its sporty looks - offering a fresh interpretation of fluidic sculpture - will generate greater brand awareness and enhance consumer perceptions of Hyundai in Europe."1

And, hey, a greater global presence certainly won't hurt us at all, will it?

Nope.

Even without the three-door hatch model, we're certain you'll be impressed by the performance-tuned Hyundai Elantra GT here at Future Hyundai of Concord. Stop by our showroom at 1051 Burnett Ave Concord, CA 94520 to check out our selection and take one for a spin.
