Much like the space race of the 1960s, it seems as though every automaker on the planet is racing to develop the next big thing in hydrogen fuel cell technology. Hyundai is no exception, and our favorite South Korean automaker has been had at work producing a new long-term solution for eco-friendly driving. Recently we got an update on the company's progress and we would like to updated you today here on our blog.

Hyundai is asserting that they are ready to roll out the first production-ready versions of the ix35 Fuel Cell car. This model is ready for sale in overseas markets but won't be reaching our shores for another couple of months. The design of the iix35 is based on the Hyundai Tucson which means it could just become available as an additional powertrain option for drivers interested in purchasing this model.

John Krafcik, head of Hyundai North American operations recently remarked that this fuel cell technology will blow electric vehicles out of the water once a true hydrogen-powered infrastructure is setup in our country. Relying on batteries that have limited lifespans is an inefficient way to go about powering our cars and everyone should be looking to hydrogen technology as the future in automobiles.

If you would like to learn more about all the latest technology to go into the current lineup of new Hyundai vehicles, then please visit our showroom located at 1051 Burnett Ave Concord, CA 94520. The dedicated staff here at Future Hyundai of Concord is always ready to sit down and answer any questions you may have.
