Now, it appears that any negative buzz has died out and the future is bright for Hyundai according to its CEO John Krafcik, who spoke recently at the National Automotive Dealer Association Convention.
In the recent speech, Krafcik addressed the designers and engineers at the company saying, "At Hyundai, we know our success is a direct function of your efforts, and your achievements. Your skill and commitment, and your entrepreneurial spirit, give me confidence that going-forward, as an industry, we'll continue to defy conventional thinking, and delight consumers in ways that we can't even imagine today."1
Specifically, Krafcik outlined several different paths that the company would be traveling down in the next few years. With sales up 27.8 percent since the same time last year, the company will look to maintain this trend as popularity of brand increases. This means Hyundai will move further into the luxury segment and raise the value of the brand over time. The award winning HCD-14 Genesis Concept will continue to inspire Hyundai design as well evolving the style to a more refined position.
