There is no doubt that humanity's dependence on oil is cause for concern. It is known that the world's supply is finite and in the near future we are going to need to turn to other sources of energy to power our cars. That is why cutting-edge companies like Hyundai are dedicating people, time and energy into developing the next big thing in automotive technology: the Hydrogen Fuel Cell.

Hyundai recently unveiled its first hydrogen powered car called the Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell. Currently, the vehicle is only available in Asia and Europe. We expect a version of this vehicle to become available in the U.S. sometime in the near future, and Hyundai officials tell us that it will be based on the Hyundai Tucson.

Automakers around the world are scrambling to get their own hydrogen fuel cell cars to market but honestly we don't expect demand for these vehicles to be all that strong until the infrastructure improves. While the efficiency and cleanliness of these vehicles is unparalleled, they do require hydrogen fill-ups like we currently need to fill our gas tanks. Only a handful of hydrogen refueling stations even exist at the moment so it is hard to convince consumers to buy these cars.

Nonetheless, we are very pleased to know that when the time comes for drivers to move to hydrogen technology, Hyundai will be ready and waiting. If you would like to learn more about any of the new Hyundai vehicles currently in our inventory, then please make a visit to our showroom and speak with our friendly staff.
