Oftentimes, driver will walk through the doors of the Future Hyundai of Concord showroom and ask our staff to point out cars that are seriously about safety. While we have a tendency to argue that all new Hyundai vehicles are built with safety as a primary focus, we do point out the safety award winners. Now, we can add the wonderful Hyundai Elantra to that list.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently released a report that gave the 2013 Hyundai Elantra the title of Top Safety Pick+. This is a new designation that was created when too many cars were earning the title of Top Safety Pick, so the IIHS had to raise the bar, and it appears as though the Elantra has met their rigorous standards.

The title of Top Safety Pick+ is reserved for vehicle that earn "good" ratings for four out of five crash tests and nothing less than an "acceptable" for the fifth.

Vice President of corporate and Product Planning at Hyundai Motor America, Mike O'Brien, commented, "Hyundai is committed to providing its customers with the industry's best safety features across our entire lineup. Elantra's designation as a Top Safety Pick+ positions it as a leader in the segment and a great choice for consumers looking for a compact car."1

If you would like the opportunity to get behind the wheel of an Elantra or any new or used Hyundai model currently in our inventory, then please just stop by our showroom and speak with our dedicated staff. Located at 1051 Burnett Ave. Concord, CA, Future Hyundai of Concord is committed to providing drivers from the Oakland and Walnut Creek areas with outstanding Hyundai sales and service.
