While the eyes of the automotive world are on Detroit this week for the 2014 North American International Auto Show, Hyundai is already lifting the wraps on a new concept for the Geneva shindig in March.

Of course, knowing Hyundai, they'd only give us such an advanced teaser if they had something special to offer--which definitely happens to be the case.

The prototype they've unveiled is called the Intrado Concept, an effort of Hyundai's European Design works. Its body is of the crossover style, with a meaty presence, a low-slung chassis, and meaty wheels.

While the design is a natural progression of the brand's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, Hyundai has drawn some inspiration from some interesting places. For one is the crossover's name. Intrado is actually the name of the flat underside of an airplane's wing.

Given the kind of powertrain the Intrado sports, we can definitely see where air factors in. Similar to Hyundai's Tucscon fuel cell, which will be leased here in California later this year, the Intrado sports a hydrogen powertrain. The difference with this crossover is the technology appears to be smaller and more powerful.

Those are details we can expect to be filled in when Hyundai fully unwraps the Intrado at Geneva in March. In the meantime, we'll keep you abreast of all other news pertaining new Hyundai models right here on our blog.
