With the first kickoff of the season taking place tonight between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Hyundai Motor America (HMA) is set to launch its first NFL marketing execution. During the season opening celebrations this weekend, HMA is the presenting sponsor of the 2016 NFL Kickoff activities that will be taking place across the country, including a kickoff concert in San Francisco, where this year’s Super Bowl will be taking place! Along with the kickoff activities, HMA is debuting two new NFL-themed television spots that highlight what it means to be a true fan. One spot, called “D-Gate,” is a thirty-second spot that highlights the all-new 2016 Hyundai Tucson that recently hit dealerships. It features a Hands-free Smart Liftgate and extra cargo space that combine to create the perfect vehicle for some game day tailgating. “Field Goal,” a second thirty second spot is a tribute to fan passion and features a diehard fan taking their newborn to the 2016 Hyundai Sonata to be comforted and soothed during t a game. These two ads are just the first in a series of football-themed ads in a season-long celebration of the NFL and its fans. Jacquelyn Kim, director, customer communications and promotions, HMA, had this to say about the campaign:
