The 2016 Hyundai Accent is offered as both a sedan and a hatchback. With the 2016 model year, HMA has renamed its trim levels from Accent GLS and Accent GS to Accent SE Sedan and Accent SE Hatchback. The Hatchback also is offered in a Sport trim level. All models come powered by a 1.6-liter GDI four-cylinder engine that generates 137 horsepower and 123 pound-foot of torque. It comes equipped with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. When paired to the six-speed manual, the EPA estimates that it will average 27/38 mpg, city and highway.
