Hyundai was able to score the top spot among all non-luxury brands due to its warranty coverage, transferability, and low deductible. Keep reading to find out more!
Derrick Hatami, vice president, national sales, Hyundai Motor America, had this to say about the honor:
“Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned vehicles not only come with the best warranty coverage, but they are also inspected by our trained technicians to meet the highest quality and to be in like-new condition. At Hyundai, we strive to make things better for our customers and with our CPO program we are doing just that. Our owners are receiving more than $2,000 in added value, and peace of mind with fewer problems down the road through our CPO program.”
Each year, Autotrader reviews and rates automobiles and automobile manufacturers in order to help today’s car buyers make the right choice in buying and selling new, used, or Certified Pre-Owned models. For the 2016 model year, it broke up the best CPO list by luxury and non-luxury automakers. Brian Moody, editor in chief, Autotrader, had this to say about the Hyundai brand:
"We think Hyundai offers the best CPO program among non-luxury automakers. The main reason is its excellent warranty, which is really just a continuation of the brand’s outstanding new-car warranty: 5 years or 60,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper limited coverage and 10 years or 100,000 miles of powertrain coverage from the car’s original sales date. We also like the fact that Hyundai’s CPO warranty is fully transferable to subsequent owners in a private sale and offers a relatively low deductible…lower than some rivals and about the same as most others."
