What is Hyundai Smart Park, and How Does It Work?

If you happened to be watching TV last Sunday, then you might remember a Hyundai commercial in which a few celebrities, including Chris Evans, all go off on tangents describing the remarkable capabilities of the Hyundai Smart Park system. This system is a great tool in itself, and definitely deserved the hype of that commercial. However, it might still be a bit confusing - that's why we here at Future Hyundai of Concord have taken the time to outline exactly what Hyundai Smart Park is, and how it can benefit you as a driver.

Hyundai Smart Parking Assist is the name for a lot of components designed by Hyundai engineers to streamline and assist your parking experience. It's part of Hyundai's SmartSense, which is a large collection of technological advancements, the goal of each being the simplification and simultaneous improvement of your driving experience. Parallel parking, backing into a tight space, getting out of a tight space, etc. It can all be quite difficult sometimes, but with Smart Park it's definitely a lot easier than it used to be.

So how does Smart Parking Assist work? Well, there are two ways you can utilize Hyundai's Parking Assist. The first is when parking your vehicle itself. You use the key fob to direct your vehicle remotely. Basically, you press a button and the system will autonomously park the car itself. The car has numerous sensors in order to keep aware of any possible objects in its way, be they inanimate or not, so have no fear about whether or not this technology is dangerous. You can also use Parking Assist to get your vehicle out of your parking spot, so have no fear if some inconsiderate drivers have boxed you in - pressing a button on your key fob will work the same way in reverse.

To experience Hyundai's smart parking assist in person, visit our team and try out either the Hyundai Sonata or Hyundai Nexo. Both of these vehicles feel that much more futuristic with this technology equipped. Plus, you don't even need to sit in the driver's seat to try out this tech - but you might as well once you're there, right?
