When it comes to the quest for fuel efficiency, Hyundai will have its hands full over the next few years and we are excited to see the fruits of the companies labor.
Why, it seemed like just yesterday we did a blog post on Hyundai's new concept vehicle, the Intrado, which is currently being tested and will debut in Geneva. As if that wasn't exciting enough, the chief U.S. Product Planner, Mike O'Brien, was caught saying that within three years consumers could expect an EV vehicle to be included in the fleet.
At Future Hyundai of Concord we are excited to hear this news. Car buyers in California are probably well aware of the states very aggressive zero-emission-vehicle mandate. To catch anyone up, it is required that one million zero-emission vehicles need to be driving along our state's roads by 2020; a Hyundai EV will be a necessary car to have on our lot come 2017.
So far there isn't a great deal of information about this new vehicle, but we do know that it will be a compact car. It'll be a great vehicle option for drivers who live in cities and have short commutes. Imagine really being able to back up into those parallel parking spots with finesse!
We know that when it comes to purchasing cars customers not only think about amenities, color, and style, but also how much the car will be costing them at the pump. Hyundai's push for fuel efficiency couldn't make us any happier!
We look forward to keeping you posted over the years as the developments unfold. In the meantime our Concord, California showroom has many new inventory vehicles that are available to be taken on a test drive. Contact us for more information!
