Hyundai Rolls Into SEMA With a 400-Horsepower Veloster

Pst...It's that time of year again, drivers - the annual SEMA show kicked off in Vegas yesterday, and our favorite automaker is there with a tuned up version of one of our favorite new Hyundai models in the lineup. It's the 'Velocity' Veloster, a joint effort between the Design and Engineering teams of Hyundai American Technical Center in Irvine.

Playing off the characteristics that have made the Veloster a shining star in the...

A Look Inside the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

Steve Kelleher, President and CEO of Hyundai Canada, claims that the launch of the 2013 Santa Fe is among the most important product launches in the company's history. Hyundai claims that the new crossover is just as or more important than the introduction of the award-winning new Elantra in 2010. That's a tall order for the CUV - but we're sure it will have no problem pleasing critics and fans alike.

The first...

Hyundai Reveals New i30 Before Paris Debut

Hyundai is headed to the Paris Motor Show the first couple weeks of October, and they've got a sporty new hatchback to show off - the all-new Hyundai i30, a European relative of the Hyundai Elantra GT. Yes, the i30 has been available in Europe for some time now, but it's the third member of the i30 lineup - in addition to a five-door hatchback and a wagon.

Before the show, as many automakers do...

Ten Reasons To Buy The Hyundai Elantra GT

The Hyundai Elantra GT didn't have the best slot in the test drive roster when I took it out last weekend-the car I drove immediately before it was a Porsche 911 S.

Porsche's 400-horsepower 3.8-litre boxer engine is not an easy act to follow. Thing is, the Hyundai didn't seem like a compromise-just a very different style of car, and well-suited to its purpose.

I took the Elantra GT for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, carting clothing bags and shoe boxes throughout the city. It's no accident the Elantra was named 2012 North American Car of the…

Montgomery Hyundai plant sets monthly production record

Montgomery's Hyundai plant produced more vehicles in August than in any month since the facility opened seven years ago, but it's a record that may not stand for long.

Workers at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama churned out 35,254 units in August, nearly 3,000 more than the previous record, which was set in August 2011.

The facility set the record as it added hundreds of employees and prepared for the launch of a third production shift.

The additional staff members who were on site for training during the transition contributed to the jump in production as well…

2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport - Winning Formula Comes Full Circle

2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

The launch of the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is a bigger deal than you might think. It's not just the third-generation of the automaker's most popular crossover - it officially marks the end of what will forever be known as Old Hyundai. Every single product in the company's stable is either brand new or significantly refreshed, and the well-liked Tucson that kicked off this whole product renaissance is officially the oldest vehicle sitting inside your local Hyundai dealer. (Well, unless they have some of the now-dead Veracruz CUVs still sitting out back.)

What was once a quiet little…

Is a Hyundai Veloster R-Spec in the Works?

The 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo has only barely arrived at Future Hyundai of Concord, and the rumor mill about another Veloster variant is already turning. More specifically, the word on the street is that Hyundai tuned up the original Veloster just enough to make it Turbo, but left room for more tweaks that could turn into a so-called Veloster Turbo R-Spec.

We told you a bit about the Turbo last month - it's 201-horsepower engine...
